St. Valentine - 5th/6th Grade Class Rules

The fifth and sixth grade class rules follow the theme …: “What Would Jesus Do”
And focus on …: Respect and Responsibility
In addition:: Two-day rule: all communications or signed tests need to be returned to school within two days or the student is detained in the classroom during their recess time.; Late work: a slip is sent home when a student does not turn in an assignment on time. The slip is to be signed and returned in two days with completed work attached.; Ten points: any assignment that is late has 10 percentage points deducted from the grade. Example: a grade of 89/B+ becomes a 79/C+; Zero: any assignment that is not handed in receives a zero.; Ten cent rule: all students are to have the necessary materials for the school day brought into the classroom at the beginning of the day. If anything is needed out of a book bag which is located in the hallway, a student is allowed to get the item at a cost of ten cents. The money collected provides treats for the students during the last week of school.; Behavior: any continuing misbehavior may result in a behavior ticket or a phone call to parents from the teacher.
